Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Conform website and app. By using Conform, you agree to these Terms. If you downloaded Conform from the Apple App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies unless a custom license agreement is provided through Apple.

1. What Conform Provides

Conform is a Christian spiritual habits app that helps users read Scripture, pray, memorize verses, journal, track reading, build daily habits, and reduce digital distractions. Conform is provided for personal devotional, educational, and spiritual formation use.

Conform is not a church, pastor, counselor, emergency service, or substitute for Scripture, pastoral care, medical care, mental-health care, or wise counsel from a local church.

2. Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for activity that occurs through your account. You must provide accurate information, use Conform lawfully, and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

You may delete your account from within the app. Account deletion and data retention are described in our Privacy Policy.

3. Your Content

You keep ownership of journal entries, prayer items, notes, highlights, reading progress, memorization progress, images, profile information, and other content you create or upload.

You grant Conform a limited permission to host, store, sync, display, process, and back up your content only as needed to operate, maintain, protect, and improve the app. This permission ends when your content is deleted, except where backup, legal, or security retention is reasonably required.

You are responsible for the content you create and share. Do not upload or share content that is unlawful, abusive, infringing, exploitative, or that violates another person's privacy.

4. Community and Sharing Features

Conform may let you share prayers, join groups, connect with friends, or participate in memorization and prayer features with other users. Content and profile information you share will be visible to the people you choose to share it with, including members of groups you join.

Do not share confidential, sensitive, or private information with other users unless you intend them to see it. We may remove content, restrict sharing features, or suspend accounts that misuse community features or put other users at risk.

5. AI-Assisted Features

AI-assisted features can help with Bible study and reflection, but AI output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or inappropriate. Review AI responses carefully against Scripture and sound teaching.

AI-assisted features are not a replacement for Scripture, pastoral care, theological study, counseling, or wise counsel from a local church. Do not submit information to AI prompts that you would not want processed by a third-party AI provider.

6. App Blocking and Screen Time Features

App blocking, website blocking, Screen Time, Family Controls, Device Activity, and related features depend on device permissions, operating-system behavior, Apple frameworks, and user settings.

Conform cannot guarantee that every block will work perfectly, that all distractions will be prevented, or that blocks cannot be bypassed. You remain responsible for your device use, settings, and any consequences of missed, delayed, overridden, or unavailable blocks.

7. Purchases, Subscriptions, and Trials

If Conform offers paid features, subscriptions, trials, or in-app purchases, they are processed by Apple or the applicable app-store provider. Billing, cancellation, refunds, and subscription management are handled through that provider unless otherwise stated.

Prices, features, and availability may change as the product develops. If you cancel a subscription, access to paid features may continue until the end of the current billing period, depending on the app-store provider's rules.

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: - Access, tamper with, or use another user's account or data - Interfere with, disrupt, reverse engineer, or overload Conform or its systems - Attempt to bypass security, authentication, rate limits, or access controls - Upload malware, harmful code, spam, or abusive content - Use Conform for unlawful, exploitative, harassing, or infringing activity - Misrepresent your identity or affiliation - Use Conform in a way that violates applicable third-party terms, including Apple, Google, Supabase, OneSignal, or OpenAI terms where relevant

9. Intellectual Property

Conform, including its app, website, design, branding, software, and original content, is owned by Conform or its licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not give you ownership of Conform or permission to copy, resell, reverse engineer, or misuse the app or brand.

Bible translations, devotional works, commentaries, and other third-party materials may be subject to separate rights and license terms. You agree to respect those rights.

10. Availability and Changes

We may update, change, suspend, or discontinue parts of Conform as the product develops. We aim to keep Conform useful and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent access to every feature, or error-free operation.

11. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and delete personal information. By using Conform, you also agree to the practices described in the Privacy Policy.

12. Termination

You may stop using Conform at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, create risk for other users, or if continued access would create legal, security, or operational risk.

13. Disclaimers

Conform is provided "as is" and "as available" to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Conform will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising from your use of or inability to use Conform.

15. App Store Terms

If you downloaded Conform through the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that these Terms are between you and Conform, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Conform or its content. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms as required by Apple's App Store terms, and Apple may enforce those rights.

You must also comply with applicable app-store terms, device terms, and third-party service terms when using Conform.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we will update the "Last Updated" date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the app or on the website. Continuing to use Conform after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
